Nuno Deconto

Nuno's lifelong interest in music and technology led him towards a passion for electronic music, and he discovered his skills with turntables, cdjs and mixers. He became addicted to researching and collecting records, drawing inspiration from artists like Derrick May, Jeff Mills, Plastikman, Carl Craig, Basic Channel and Robert Hood. He began his musical career djing in southern Brazil, performing at the most underground parties. His search for inspiration led him to Europe, and in 2006 he moved to London, where the cutting edge musical and artistic scene helped him develop his skills and passions, expanding his knowledge of music and new technology. Nuno has been playing in the most warehouse parties in the London underground scene, the famous “squat parties", also in venues like the old Se1, Brixton Academy n many more. Nuno has drawn on influences from Detroit Techno to develop his own style, ranging from acid house, techno, to deep minimal abstract, always creating an original and cutting edge atmosphere. Throughout his career Nuno has performed in clubs and festivals across Europe and America featuring Boom Festival (Portugal), Ozora Festival (Hungary), Universo Paralelo (Brazil) and Apparitions Festival (Mexico), as well regular in clubs in Zurich, Budapest, Lisbon, Paris and Ibiza. Since 2006 Nuno has been involved in producing events and compiling cutting edge line-ups for clubnights and festivals, brings the fruits of his musical research to dancefloors world-wide, including artists like Derrick May, Juan Atkins, MANDY, Francesco Tristano, Minilogue, Luke Hess, Deep’a & Biri, Roland Leesker, Hiroshi Watanabe, Terrance Parker, Arnaud Le Texier and many more. In 2014 Nuno co-founded the collective Diskonnekt in collaboration with Giovanni Calemma, a concept event which draws together carefully selected techno artists to create exceptional sonic experiences in the underground London club techno scene, resulting a truly memorable clubbing experience for the crowd. In 2015 he moved to Berlin to dedicate time to music production, the perfect place to get inspired and often djing in clubs like Sisyphos and Rummels Bucht. Presently he is working on his first album. Portuguese: Nuno sempre foi interessado por música e tecnologia – e a música eletrônica surgiu daí como uma paixão óbvia. Derrick May, Jeff Mills, Plastikman, Carl Craig, Basic Channel e Robert Hood deram início a uma interminável coleção de discos, a um início de carreira nas festas underground do Sul do Brasil e a mais de 10 anos tocando na noite de Londres. A antiga Se1, Brixton Academy e a cena underground Londrina certamente lembram dele. Inspirado na cena cultural de Detroit e Chicago, Nuno construiu seu estilo, que vai do acid house, techno, passando pela deep minimalista abstrata. Seu sets com um mix harmonioso repleto de tracks exclusivas e sua visão artística com muitos clássicos de sua coleção, fazem ser sempre uma apresentação única, jamais vista. Em 2014 criou o coletivo Diskonnekt em parceria com Giovanni Calemma. Artistas do techno escolhidos a dedo deram vida a uma experience club única que resgatou o underground da cena techno londrina. Em 2015, mudou-se para Berlim, para dedicar-se totalmente à produção de música. Lá firmou residência em clubs como Sisyphos and Rummels Bucht. Com apresentações em festivais como Boom Festival (Portugal), Ozora Festival (Hungria), Universo Paralelo (Brasil) e Apparitions Festival (México) no currículo renderam reconhecimento internacional. Nuno também participou da organização e produção de line-ups em festivais e eventos em clubs onde colocou e dividiu stages com artistas como Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, Juan Atkins, MANDY, Francesco Tristano, Minilogue, Hiroshi Watanabe, Luke Hess, Deep’a & Biri, Roland Leesker, Terrance Parker e Arnaud Le Texier. Atualmente ele esta produzindo seu primeiro album e criou a agencia Konnekt, com objetivo de conectar o melhor da musica electronica para o Brasil e America do Sul. bookings@konnekt.com.br
