Torva Biography
TORVA are an indie-rock band from London, formed of uni mates Sam Hall (vocals/guitar/keys), Will Riby (drums/vocals) and Matt Gallagher (bass/guitar/vocals).
Drawn together in 2015 as classical music students at the Royal College of Music, but influenced by Bombay Bicycle Club, The 1975 and Kings of Leon, the band started out playing covers – honing their live sets at high profile parties around the UK. However, as time went on, their thirst to escape the pressures of classical music and cover-bands grew. Settling on the name TORVA, they decided to build a recording studio, self-produce and release their debut original indie-rock EP: Places I’ve Never Been.
The wacky and colourful one-take video for the lead single, Places I’ve Never Been, is out on YouTube now (featuring a set made entirely from cardboard).
