Aislin Evans @ ICMP Songwriters' Circle (Proud Camden)
Tuesday, January 10th, 2017
7:00 PM
Proud Camden
London, United Kingdom
We have secured a very special guest for our first Songwriters' Circle of 2017. The renowned songwriter Ed Harcourt, who describes himself as a "part-time brewer of dark ales, full-time composer of dark tales" will join the circle bieng lead by singer, songwriter, producer, session keys man and now ICMP tutor Oli Rockberger

Also featuring in the round will be Katie Wilkinson (1st Year BASW), Aislin Evans (2nd Year BASW), Jordanshawmusic (3rd Year BASW) and Hakeem (MA Songwriting).

About the Artists:
ED HARCOURT - Depending on who you speak to, you will hear that Ed Harcourt was raised by wolves, he grew up in a Russian orphanage or discover that he was once part of a travelling circus, which perhaps explains his Coulrophobia. Truth is, he was born in the seventies (“the year punk broke, days before The King was dead”), and lived with his parents in East Sussex. Over the years, he has become a well-read, well-dressed, well-travelled English gent and a songwriter of some repute.

OLI ROCKBERGER - Singer, songwriter, producer and keys man Oli Rockberger divides his time between hometown London and New York City, with performing/recording highlights to date including: Carly Simon, John Mayer, Steve Gadd, Jesse Harris, Gloria Gaynor, Levon Helm, Randy Brecker, Becca Stevens and Chris Dave And The Drumhedz. Current work includes performances as a member of prodigious award-winning UK songstress Laura Mvula's touring band, as well as with his original solo project, with recent highlights including Love Supreme (UK), London Jazz and Rochester Jazz Festival (US). Oli will be following up his acclaimed "Old Habits" (2013) with "Sovereign", his 4th studio album, to be released Sept '17.

JORDAN SHAW -

HAKEEM MONTAGUE - Hakeem is a singersongwriter, and I has been since the age of 13. Songs always came
naturally to him, especially, when accompanied by an instrument. Hakeem can play a number of different instruments including piano, guitar, saxophone, drums and clarinet.
He writes in many different genres, but his style is one of narrative
pop form - the songs tell a story and have a specific meaning or concept that can be related to a lot of everyday issues or concerns people may experience in their lives at any given time.
