Ovie

Ovie is an Independent recording artist and Music video director from Dublin, Ireland. Ovie showed great interest in music and it's creation from an early age and his interest slowly developed into a passion which has stuck with him ever since. Ovie admittedly draws inspiration from his African roots and his western background combined with influences as diverse as Craig David, Fela kuti, Eminem and Micheal Jackson to name a few. Baring this in mind it comes as no surprise that Ovie finds it somewhat challenging to confine his sound to any specific genre of style of music, instead sites R&B, Afro-beat, Pop and Hip Hop and their sub-genres as pieces to the eve changing puzzle that is Ovie Music. Ovie always had a flair for creativity, be it visual or auditory. It wasn't until the age of 18 when he went on the hunt for a videographer to help bring his music video dreams to life that he discovered his hidden talent, film-making. Unable to afford the any of the film makers he found he decided to buy a camera and do it himself. Ovie has gone on to make a name for himself internationally as a music video director and cinematographer with over a hundred videos shot and millions of views under his belt.
