Blue Healer Biography
“With songs that fall into mesmerizing grooves, Blue Healer’s sound scratches an itch we never knew we had.”
— Austin Monthly
“Their sound meshes together the shiny accessibility of synthpop with the down-and-dirty aesthetic of basement rock.”
— Consequence of Sound
“’Only The Rain’ steadily builds into an indie rock power ballad with shiny pops of sythns and a blast of the drums.”
— American Songwriter
Innovative Texas indie-rock trio, Blue Healer, seamlessly blends classic songwriting motifs, shimmering synth grooves, and the raw energy of basement rock to create their own distinctive sound. Distorted upright bass and layered harmonies evoke everything from Tear for Fears to Nirvana. The group released its self-titled debut album in September of 2016, which was followed with their debut at Austin City Limits and an East Coast tour. Prior to Blue Healer, the boys toured together nationwide as apart of the band Sons of Fathers. The group is made up of David Beck (bass/guitar/vox), Bryan Mammel (keys/vox), and Dees Stribling (drums/vox).
