Ronny W Biography
Ronny W. is an Israeli/American artist based in Los Angeles, California. A former Tank Commander who fought in the IDF and was injured in Lebanon, his songs span across the genres of Rock, Soul and Pop telling stories that share a raw and humbling glimpse at life. After recording his first EP titled ESH, Ronny is currently in the studio working on his next record that has yet to be named.
Ronny was born in Tel Aviv yet raised in the US until his mid teens when he moved with his family back to Israel. After graduating high-school, he was drafted to the IDF where he served as a Tank Commander in the 401st Armored Division. His injury in Lebanon in the summer of 2006 and long stretch of rehabilitation thereafter have shaped his life and his music in a profound way. After establishing a successful career in Israel, Ronny decided to leave his old life behind to take his artistry to the big leagues of the US music scene where much larger audiences could be moved by his musical offerings.
As Ronny works on his new record in Los Angeles, he is also very active in veteran-related affairs, helping injured US veterans around the country to regain their independence in an array of different ways. Keep a look out for Ronny by following him on Instagram page @RonnyWMusic
