The band: "A is A" is an alternative rock band from Chicago IL, formed in 2014. The band consists of Jimmy Brennan (guitar) and Monika Jedrzejek (vocals). The band: "A Is A" developed a style of riff-oriented, alternative rock music. (A is A band) music features a melding of post punk revival, new wave, and Indie Rock. The two met when Monika posted a craigslist ad looking for a guitarist to perform covers in bars around Chicago. Jimmy responded to the ad when a project he was working on fell through. The two met and a day later they were performing at an open mic. It wasn't long after that when they started sharing original ideas and demo songs they had both been writing. Jimmy, owning a home studio, started recording demos. After the demos, they started working on recording an EP. The band "A is A" songs were available on iTunes and Monika and Jimmy (A is A) continue to perform around the Chicago area. .
