Asa is turning 29. Celebrate in the cold Seattle gloom with a glorious triumvirate of atmospheric acts.

Golden Gardens are perhaps Seattle's most Lynchian band, and their headlining set of gauzy guitar, trip-hop beats and bewitching, beckoning vocal melodies comes in the immediate wake of their brand-new album Reign. Expect some gems and rarities as well.

Planning for Burial is Thom Wasluck of rural Pennsylvania, making a special appearance especially for this event. Unpretentiously honest and genre-fluid, his prolific, self-recorded catalog captures "the delight and the detritus of love" in ways that might point to Red House Painters, the Cure, Codeine, or Jesu-- sometimes in the span of a single song-- but never resorts to simple imitation.

God and Vanilla's torrential washes of dreamy chords and spectral melody come courtesy of Richard O'Leary, a universally-beloved entity in the Seattle DIY music and arts scene. Come for the reverb, stay for the impeccably quick wit.

Between sets, the esteemed DJ Explorateur and DJ Retina Burn will be summoning only the finest in fuzzy, synthy and cosmic tunes from the 1's and 2's.
