My Fair Fiend Biography

With the release of the full length “Making Monsters” album, My Fair Fiend brings an alternative attitude to progressive pop rock. Lush with addictive vocal and guitar hooks, a riot-girl style grit, and hard hitting energy all around, the record hits huge anthemic points throughout its course.

With the unapologetic musings of outspoken female vocalist, Callie Crofts - It’s no wonder My Fair Fiend has garnered a rebel reputation in their hometown of Orem, Utah.
“I was a sweet woman, hell-bent on doing the wholesome thing all of my life, always putting others before myself. When I came to a point of feeling like my whole world was against what I truly wanted for myself, I was forced into strength - because saying "f**k that” is much better than living your whole life in a mold that someone else put you in.” says Crofts.

The band was started during a huge turning point in Crofts' life. After a divorce and a change in her belief system, she left the luxurious lifestyle she was used to and started fresh with almost nothing. She had previously branded herself as an acoustic solo artist. Of course, this state of heavy change left her with an empowering self-realization, and she was inspired to create a new, dark, haunting, and progressive sound. It was then that My Fair Fiend was born.

The project was founded in 2013 as Crofts' alter-ego embodied. Current members include Crofts (Vocals, Guitar) Zac Bryant (Drums, Vocals), Mike Albonesi (Lead guitar), and Paul Edmunds (Bass). In May of 2015, My Fair Fiend had a fan base large enough to successfully fund production of their sophomore album 'Making Monsters' which was released that October.

My Fair Fiend has performed at the 2015 SLC Pride Festival, has headlined at the 2016 and 2014 Provo Pride Festival, and has been nominated for both "Best Alternative Album" and "Best Engineer" at the first annual Utah Music Awards. The band also gained national attention for their show "Uncensored City", a demonstration of free speech in 2014.
