New Orleans based post-rock dance band mixes originals in with New Orleans funk, blues, jazz (the Meters, Louis Armstrong, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson ect.)

Ocean Disco's original music is based heavily on instrumental rock and electronic music, funk, jazz, drum and bass, psychedelia, and hip hop. The band mixes standard live rock instrumentation with electronics. Using a combination of electrified instruments, digital samples, and analogue synthesizers, the band strives to create an interactive musical odyssey at their live shows. Capturing the full spectrum of emotion their music seems to continually evolve within itself from one moment to the next. Heavily improvised live sets is where the band shines as they constantly push their own boundaries to assure that each Ocean Disco show is a one of a kind experience.

They are influenced by STS9, New Master Sounds, Snarky Puppy, Umphrey's McGee, Pretty Lights, Lotus, The Malah, Bonobo, Kungfu, Consider the source, Tycho, The Nth Power.
They have played many music festivals, such as Summer Camp and Wakarusa. They have opened for Big Gigantic, Borgore, Zoogma, Earphunk, Signal Path, Phish and more.

New Orleans based, Ocean Disco started out playing in the streets of New Orleans, progressing to the local bar scene, playing 6 nights a week on Frenchmen and Bourbon Street at historic venues like Old Point Bar and Tipitinas, playing jazz, funk, second lines, and blues, with their originals having an electronica twist. The band's deep roots spring from all the New Orleans classics of legends like Louis Armstrong, Allen Toussaint, to The Meters to Herbie Hancock with a mix of modern influences like Lettuce, STS9 or Galactic. Recently Ocean Disco has been bringing the Big Easy flavor all over the Midwest and southern states, from headlining music festivals to just recently finishing up their 2nd US tour of 2016 with over 70 shows nationwide and embarking on their 3rd national tour entitled "Celestial Nirvana" covering the deep south, east coast and midwest.
