The oldest band with this name was "the DEADBEATS" from the early L.A. punk scene. Before the rules were written about how punks should sound or dress, these guys defined in 1978 the sheer creativity of what “punk” music could be.
The band released only one 7-inch called "Kill the hippies" The title track is still a punk classic. The singer was young when he recorded this record. He later founded a solo project called "Geza-x".
