Sweet Eve Biography

Sweet Eve started as a garage band in Providence, Rhode Island and relocated to Los Angeles, CA. The band had toured to California and recorded a single "Only Human" with Delious from the R&B group All-4-One. Upon moving to Los Angeles the band gained momentum in the Los Angeles club scene opening for such acts as "LA Guns", "Duff McKagen" and numerous other multi-platinum artists.

The band entered into the studio in 2010 to record their debut album "Shadow Over Me". The production was riddled with delays, studio changes, lineup changes and management changes. In 2012 the album was complete, the band played two CD release shows - one in Providence, RI and one in Hollywood, CA. But before the band would officially release the album they broke up. The album stayed unreleased with the exception of promotional CDs that were in rotation on over 38 radio stations around the country. In 2014 the band finally released their debut album which debuted at #7 on iTunes New Rock and was made available on over 60,000 digital jukeboxes in America later that year. After a two year hiatus the band returned to the studio to record a quick single "Children of Babylon" and played a full national tour in the summer of 2014.

Upon returning to Los Angeles the band went into the recording studio with producer Nick Menza former drummer from the band Megadeth. As the production began and issues with their drummer were becoming more evident, Nick offered to play drums on Sweet Eve's second album "The Immortal Machine". Production began in the summer of 2015 and by the fall the band had completed three recordings. At that time there was a fire in the studio that resulted in the loss of the master tracks. The band began to re-record the album in January of 2016 and had completed numerous tracks by March of 2016. The band took a break for Nick to travel to Washington to spend time with his children. Sweet Eve and Nick Menza would never resume recording. On May 22, 2016, one week after returning to Los Angeles, Nick Menza passed away while playing a gig in Studio City. The band was completely shaken and production on the second album was halted while the band figured out what they were going to do with the final three tracks that Nick had recorded.

By the end of the summer of 2016 the band decided that they were going to finish the record as originally intended and former Sweet Eve members Jimmy James (Caputo) and Alex Borquez rejoined Tony Francis (Rainone) and Ian Shea with Grammy Winning Producer Tom Weir to finish the band's second record.
