Second Annual Australia Oneness Festival 2016
Saturday, December 10th, 2016
8:00 PM
Swan Hotel
North Fremantle, Australia
This coming December 10th on United Nations Human rights day, Australia Oneness Festival we are putting on our second annual fun-raising Australia Oneness Festival of international truth, harmony and music at The Swan Hotel, North Fremantle, WA.
After last year's extravaganza of a show we are expecting a busy house and alongside Ras Banamungu & The Det-n-ators there will be a full line-up of bands, Dj’s, singers and other artists. Details of which to be confirmed in the not-too-distant future.
The truth of Oneness is becoming ever more popular as more and more folk awaken to the truth of life and this festival celebrates all the joy that awakening brings. There will be much international interest.
All we do is for supporting community and this time the charity of the year is CARAD (Centre for Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Detainees)
Since its incorporation in 2000, CARAD has evolved to become:
an active and respected agency in Western Australia for asylum seeker and refugee support

a recognised voice for refugee rights, advocacy and community engagement
a key partner in the education of students of a refugee background
a temporary safe haven for community based asylum seekers
a welcoming name to people seeking safety, security and protection.

CARAD was formed in 2000 when the then Australian government issued Temporary Protection Visas (TPV) which provoked community opposition to this harsh new law. Volunteers started providing basic settlement assistance and support to refugees holding Temporary Protection Visas.

Since then, CARAD has been an active campaigner for positive change and social justice in the Australian Government's refugee determination conditions and process. CARAD has assisted over 5500 refugees and asylum seekers in Western Australia with services such as settlement support, advocacy, referral, emergency and financial aid, accommodation, English lessons and education support.
