Secretary began in a small mountain town in California, where members Ellison Wolf (vocals, guitar, bass, percussion) and Em Maslich (Fender Rhodes, Moog, programming, vocals, drums) holed up writing, recording, and building instruments. Their sound has been described as atmospheric electronic with an interplay of otherworldly vocals. The band currently calls Durham, NC home.
