Rustic Wild

Rustic Wild would simply not exist if it was not for singer/songwriter Erik Hjortnaes (the j is silent, hillbilly). Friendless after moving to South Dakota, he began writing songs, later returning to California in 2014 to form Rustic Wild. “I wrote music that made me feel something… I just wanted the world to feel something too.” Jeramy Mathews was invited to lend lead guitar riffs, Marianne showed up at a gig and never left, and Pat met the band through mutual friends. Together, the four hit the ground running, showcasing Hjortnaes’ lyrical story-telling, Mathews’ transcendental riffs, Patrick's innovative drumming and Farretta's melting harmonies across Southern California.
