The Potter Family performs with Acappella Chorus for One-time Event for 2 Christmas Concerts in One NightLEAD, SD – The award-winning Potter Family of Rapid City is known in the Black Hills for their rich vocals and professional presence. All five talented family members will join together for a special Christmas concert of well-known holiday music and also the Shrine of Democracy chorus, a 30-member acapella singing group also of Rapid City, on Saturday, December 3rd at 7:30 p.m. at the Historic Homestake Opera House located at 313 West Main Street, Lead. These award-winning professional performers are Black Hills favorites and will touch the hearts of young and old alike with the spirit of Christmas.

 Be prepared to laugh, cry, and sing along as their amazing voices and rich harmonies satisfy the music lover in everyone. The Mount Rushmore Chapter and the Shrine of Democracy Chorus promotes, encourages, and perpetuates the barbershop style of singing in both the chorus and quartets by bringing men together in harmony and fellowship, thereby enriching their lives through singing and performances. With their wide variety of iconic music, warm family humor, and engaging shows, these groups never fail to bring nostalgia while delivering amazing vocals. 
Admission is $15 adults, $10 for members and $5 for students. Seating is open/first-come, first served. Cookies and coffee are provided, and a variety of wine, beer, and soda is available for purchase. To purchase tickets, stop in to the Homestake Opera House office in the back of the building at 308 Julius Street, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., or call the box office at 605-584-2067, or purchase online at from the event support ongoing music programming, restoration projects, and operations at the Historic Homestake Opera House. Free parking is located behind the building, on Main Street, and lot parking within four blocks or less from the theater. The building is wheelchair accessible and assistive listening devices are also available.
