Two-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter John Prine, one of the most revered lyricists in contemporary music, brings an evening of his greatest hits. Prine's songs have been recorded by superstars like Johnny Cash, Carly Simon, Bette Midler, Norah Jones, George Strait, Miranda Lambert, and many others, but his genius isn't found in his resume; it's found in the lyrical brilliance that infuses his large catalog of songs, including "Sam Stone," "Angel from Montgomery," "Souvenirs," "Hello in There," and "Donald and Lydia," to name just a few. Over four decades into a remarkable career that has drawn effusive praise from the likes of Bob Dylan, Kris Kristofferson, Bonnie Raitt and Bruce Springsteen, Prine is regarded as an American poet of the highest order, a living legend of country and folk who was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and recently received the prestigious PEN Song Lyrics of Literary Excellence Award.
