Tez of 2Deep

He has been singing since the age of 5 yrs old, in the church choir. At the age of 14, he expanded his talents by rapping and singing with a local rap group called K.I.G (Keep It Gangsta). K.I.G helped him realize his passion for music. He loves to write his own songs as well as perform them. Being able to do this set him up for two unpublished albums with K.I.G. (The Time Is Now & Done Deal). While with K.I.G., he also started two rap groups called 2Deep and Royal Boyz. Later, rapping became a hobby and R&B became his true passion for music.

He then began to write R&B music, and co-founded a group called The Gentlemen. While with this group, he performed at many different venues such as The Red Barn, YPAS, Church events, and Manual’s Annual Ramstock. Even as controversies arose within The Gentlemen,Tez continued to pursue his musical ambition.

Over the past few years, Tez  and S.G.Smitty have been working on the music group 2Deep. They have done plenty of hip-hop shows and radio interviews, premiered their latest cd project “Consistency” at a movie theater in Louisville Ky, been nominated for “Hottest in the Ville” for consecutive months in 2014-2015, also they were nominated for song of the year in 2015 for “My Party My Show” through Keep Louisville Loud (local radio station), they have gotten their music played on local radio stations in Louisville and also have been working on music videos and projects together in Louisville Ky. With the success of 2Deep, S.G.Smitty and Tez will now turn their focus on solo projects to enhance 2Deep’s recognition.  

As a solo artist, he sang in talent shows, church events, weddings, and funerals. His music is inspired by events in his life; such as family, friends, and other relationships. The purpose of his music is to acknowledge the bad and celebrate the good in life and being creative. Now with PAB Mangement, Dj PartyAllWknd (Tez Official Dj), 2Deep, and IAmRoyalty on his side he will attempt to bring the city of Louisville the recognition it deserves.
