Howard Dyck, Conductor Capella Intima - SoloistsSheila Dietrich sopranoJennifer Enns-Modolo altoBud Roach tenorDavid Roth bassNota Bene Baroque SingersNota Bene Baroque PlayersThe great J.S. Bach is quite justifiably associated with the great Passions and the B Minor Mass - music often performed during the "Lenten season". The result is that his music composed specifically for Easter has been sadly neglected. Our concert, following just a week after Easter, will redress this situation. Brimming with hope, joy and celebration, the three works on the program are: Cantata BWV 66 Erfreut euch, ihr Herzen, Cantata BWV 51 Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen, and Easter Oratorio BWV 249 Kommt eilet und laufet. For Bach's Lutheran parishioners, having endured another Saxon winter and accustomed as they were to a life of relative hardship and suffering, this music served as a beacon to cheer them on their way.TICKETSREGULAR/SENIOR: $35All Students FREE (with ID)Purchase Tickets:By Phone: 1-866-303-0009 (toll-free)Online OrderAdvance tickets through NBBP Eventbrite Site: http://bach-resounding_waterloo.eventbrite.ca
