Born in Dumfriesshire Davy Holt has lived in the picturesque Scottish Highlands since 2004.

His music career began at the age of 7 when he first sang on stage with Scottish Folk Duo Gaberlunzie and he released his first album 'Keeping Folk Alive' at the age of 12. He has gone on to record a further 6 albums, performing throughout Scotland, Europe and North America and has been played on radio stations north and south of the border

Dubbed as one of Scotland's hardest working singers, nowadays Davy also frequently performs with Stuart Mackintosh in the duo Caman. But whether performing with Stuart or singing solo, Davy's style is inimitable and his knowledge of Scottish traditional music formidable.

His visits south of the border are infrequent but spring 2017 sees him travel to North Shields to open Live In The North East's new gig season.

Expect to hear a mixture of traditional Scottish songs and tunes, some of Davy's own material and perhaps a few familiar favourites written by other artists. Most of all come along to be entertained for the evening by a true performer.
