Liam Capper-Starr

Liam has been playing ukulele since 2010, after falling out of love with his 15 year's worth of guitar playing. As a well known name on the ukulele circuit, Liam has performed at some of the UK's biggest ukulele festivals, as well as provided workshops and hosted open mic and fringe stages. He composes his own music, both instrumentals and songs, and his debut album “Needs More Cello” has been nominated for best album in the 2016 UKE Magazine awards. Liam teaches ukulele on an individual basis, in person and on Skype, and has helped over 100 absolute beginners start their journey into the wonderful world of the ukulele. His playing style focuses on fingerpicking and encompasses folk and jazz, with classical lilt and a deep, bluesy vocal, whilst his compositions are delicate, intimate and thought provoking.
