Wiz Kilo Biography

Wiz Kilo's unique blend of Hip Hop/Electronic/Synth-Pop fusion-beats is making big waves in the Canadian underground music scene, and around the globe. In his sophomore release “Nocturnal”, Wiz Kilo sets a darker tone, filled with sincere self-reflective lyrics, while preserving the beat-thumping tracks, and infectious melodies that have become his signature sound. His first full-length album “Jungle Disco”, which he wrote, produced, and recorded entirely on his own, was the party, while “Nocturnal”, is the seductive aftermath. “My music is real, it reflects my own existence. From love and heartache, and observing the world around me, to everything I've been through...the build-up has led to my obsession with making people move, and the intoxicating exchange of energy I feel when I'm connecting with my audience”, says the multi-faceted artist who has performed on many stages that include a long list of festivals, as well as club tours across Europe and North America. “I am inspired by a wide variety of musical eras and genres, from Motown to Amy Winehouse”, all of which give his sound a fresh and current flow with a twist of nostalgia. Following the hit singles “Warmbody” and “Jungle Disco”, “Nocturnal”, the album, is a bold and haunting progression into a world of sensual undertones and provocative imagery. Nocturnal | New album release 10.07 [Oct. 7, 2016]... at Kafein [1429 Bishop, Montreal] | 10pm *no cover at the door
