Get caught up in "March Madness" of a different kind with a spirited program from period-instrument ensemble Grand Harmonie. Mozart kicks things off to a rollicking start with the pirate-themed Overture to "The Abduction from the Seraglio". On Carl Maria von Weber's notoriously difficult Concertino for Horn and Orchestra, Grand Harmonie co-founder Yoni Kahn will perform what amounts to a magic trick, producing two notes simultaneously, by humming while playing. Jacquelyn Stucker will bring down the house with a concert aria from Beethoven, whose Symphony No. 1 will close the program. Full of musical jokes and the experimentation that would mark his career, Beethoven's First Symphony is the perfect end to this concert in-the-round at Somerville Armory. Come early for a pre-concert reception.
