Though Oisin RS and Vgo started collaborating in 2011 on and in various different musical bands and projects, the current ‘BeatDenBand’ formed in 2014. The band is currently being booked up for at least a show a week. The band and set have been recently revamped with a host of original funky-soulful material and a couple beloved covers for the nostalgic’s plus also a bunch of new funky-soulful players! The grooves the band play are centred around Funk, Soul and Hip Hop, but this is by no means their only musical outlet. There is etches of other music influence melded in to the set, and the band is fast becoming known for their HIGH OCTANE Shows. They have also had a huge hand in developing the Bristol music scene with their own brand of weekly Jam nights they orchestrated around the city for the past 2 years. Encompassing and welcoming all types of diversities form University students to local veterans, From Cuban and Bhangra drummers to local Funksters and Rockers, all joined in with BeatDen on stage to jam together to create something new and improvisational. The heart of the band derives from Oisin RS, a multi-instrumentalist who's background has been heavily influenced by the likes of dub, reggae and funk, also Vgo a Hip Hop poet who brings his conjuration of internal rhythms, spilling over from performances onto unsuspecting audiences! BeatDen brings a new angle of sound and creativity with positivity at the centre of it, resulting in a show that will keep you hooked from start to finish. (Benny D) @BeatDen
