Vocalists Prentiss McNeil (The Drifters) and Bruce "Big Daddy" Wayne (Wilson Pickett's Midnight Movers) bring some serious soul power to this fully-staged revue featuring the best R&B music of the classic era from the mid-'60s to the early '70s. Get ready to groove to hits from James Brown, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin, not to mention Motown and Stax artists galore. McNeil is best known for his nearly 30 years with doo-wop group The Drifters, famed for classics like "Save the Last Dance for Me," "Some Kind of Wonderful," "Under the Boardwalk" and "Up on the Roof," which you may hear during this entertaining Christmas-weekend show at DC's Howard Theatre.
