The Resonance Masters Series is searching for high school and collegiate violin students to perform in a masterclass instructed by the winner of the 2014 International Violin Competition of Indianapolis, Jinjoo Cho. The masterclass will take place in Resonance at SOMA Towers, in downtown Bellevue, on Saturday, April 22, 2017, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The event is free to the public.

To apply: please upload your high-quality recordings (5-minute minimum) to The privacy settings of the YouTube recordings should be set to public or unlisted. Please click on the green “Register” button, select the “Student Participant” registration, and complete the form by providing the following information:
-Applicant Name-Applicant Age-Level of Education-Institution Name (college/high school)-Email address where applicant or parent of applicant may be reached-Phone number-Repertoire to be performed
Complete applications must be submitted no later than March 31, 2017. Selected participants will be announced by April 4, 2017 (deadline extended as of 2/23/17). Participants must supply their own accompanist.

Ms. Cho serves on the violin faculty at Oberlin Conservatory, as well as the Cleveland Institute of Music. Her impressive list of gold-medal finishes at international violin competitions include the 2006 Montreal International Musical Competition, the 2010 Buenos Aires International Violin Competition, the 2013 Alice and Eleonore Schoenfeld International String Competition, and the 2014 International Violin Competition of Indianapolis. Jinjoo has concertized throughout North and South America, Asia, and Europe, performing as a soloist with such prestigious orchestras as The Cleveland Orchestra, Orchestre symphonique de Montreal, Orchestre symphonique de Quebec, Soeul Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Orquesta Sinfonica Nacional (Argentina) among many others.

This event is free to the public but we strongly encourage the audience to register in advance in order to guarantee seating. Please select the General Admission registration form and complete the online registration.
