From Shakespeare to Goethe to Shelley and beyond…poets and playwrights of every era have tried to find a way to express the complexities of this thing we call LOVE. Thankfully music adds dimensions of understanding that words can never seem to express. St. Albert’s Caitlin Wood, (Nanetta in 2010’s Falstaff, Despina in 2009’s Cosi fan tutte), possesses a “remarkable voice endowed with impressive agility and range”. Caitlin returns home to perform in Edmonton Opera’s Cenerentola, but before she leaves to perform Susanna with Vancouver Opera, she will share this concert, revealing the complexities of this ageless emotion with an eclectic myriad of musical styles.
