Korby and Alex team up for this special performance of music of George Gershwin. Music of the Gershwins gained immense popularity during the first half of the 20th century. George Gershwin's musical compositions included the jazz influenced classical "Rhapsody in Blue", Broadway shows where he collaborated with his older brother, Ira, on such hits as "Porgy and Bess", and classical chamber music like his "Concerto in F".

Korby Myrick is a critically acclaimed, classically trained mezzo soprano specializing in opera, symphonic repertoire, art song, and oratorio. In addition to being a talented singer, she is also an accomplished voice teacher, pianist, musical director, and stage director. Korby earned her B.A in Piano Performance as well as her M.M in Vocal Performance at the University of Arizona.

Mezzo-soprano Korby Myrick’s diverse repertoire and impeccable artistry earns her praise in both concert and operatic work. Opera News says, "Korby Myrick has emerged in a series of roles as a spectacular stage personality with a dusky mezzo and exotic looks." She has recently added several dramatic mezzo roles to her repertoire, including Azucena in Il Trovatore, Amneris in Aïda, Fricka in Die Walküre, Leonora in La Favorita, and La Principessa in Adriana Lecouvreur.

Dr. Alexander Tentser studied piano at the Ukraine State School for Gifted Children sponsored by the Kiev Conservatory, the Gnessin Music College in Moscow, Russia, the Gnessin Russian Music Academy with Professor Theodor Gutmann, and the University of Arizona with Nohema Fernandez. He has performed with Tucson Symphony Orchestra three times, the Southern Arizona Symphony Orchestra, the Sierra Vista Symphony, and the Lake Placid Sinfonietta.
