About this concert
Get down good time night of Outlaw Americana, Southern Rock and West Coast Country from Nashville with Boo Ray, The Tangled Hearts, and Renee Wahl & the Sworn SecretsBOO RAYAmericana Music Charts Top 40 artist, Boo Ray’s pure Muscle Shoals Southern country rock sound will draw you in, his voice will have you hanging on every lyric and his songs will stick with you like a good friend. He is a Southern troubadour who forged and honed his sound playing South Georgia honky-tonks, Gulf Coast jukes, Nashville nightclubs, and Los Angeles songwriter joints. Hailing from the mountains of Western North Carolina, he now spends his time between Nashville, Los Angeles, and Athens, Georgia.Americana Outlaw, Boo Ray on his new album, “The title track, “Sea Of Lights,” comes from my heart, it’s important to me. I’ve been working with the artists I recorded the album with for ten years, doing one-offs and single-track jobs. There is a special dynamic to creating music with great friends. We cut ten songs in two days, live-to-tape, everyone playing together in one room with sound baffles and Persian rugs as isolation for this new album. Had a damned ball doing it! I’m not writing to impress the aficionados or experts. It’s a trucker album, it’s a party album, and for listening to while playing cards and on your road trips.”www.BooRayMusic.comTHE TANGLED HEARTSThe Tangled Hearts are West Coast Country from Nashville, Tennessee. Drinking heavily from the well that is the Bakersfield Sound, they're Merle Haggard meets Buck Owens meets Dwight Yoakam. Their three-part harmony laden originals are soulful, sometimes humorous, frequently irreverent, and always peppered with a healthy dose of twang. The four seasoned musicians have created a song list influenced by 60’s Honky Tonk, 70’s Outlaw Country, and deep cuts from early 70’s FM radio playlists. Covers from legends such as Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, and Johnny Paycheck are common. The Tangled Hearts' honky tonk/country renditions of songs from the Band, Grateful Dead, and Rolling Stones sound fresh, catch you by surprise, and feel familiar at the same time. Audiences have been known to two-step, line-dance, and drink copious amounts of cold beer to the The Tangled Hearts’ get down, good time music.www.TheTangledHearts.comRENEE WAHL & THE SWORN SECRETSNashville singer/songwriter Renée Wahl has a secret — countless secrets, actually. In addition to her band-mates, known collectively as the Sworn Secrets, Wahl has accumulated a career full of others while playing the very stages in East Nashville that are the epicenter of the burgeoning singer/songwriter-centric scene that’s being described as Nashville’s New Outlaw movement. And now, the Pennsylvania native is carving out her own space at the recently rediscovered intersection where authentic Nashville songwriting meets Music Row. Inspired by groundbreaking artist like Neko Case, Buddy and Julie Miller, and Ryan Adams, she deftly crafts accessible songs that explore the human experience. From escaping emotional torment to finding a short term solution to a temporary problem., few topics are off limits when it comes to her powerful and personal approach to songwriting.“She can go from the sweetness of a Dolly Parton to almost the sharp tone of a Maria McKee…” – No Depression“With a touch of gallows humor and a dash of powder keg passion, Renée Wahl’s songwriting grabs me by the ears on the first listen.” – CountryFriedRock.orgwww.reneewahl.com
