Anorak

Anorak, band formed in Amiens (FR) in 2005, consists of a drummer (Guillaume), a guitarist (Nicolas), a bassist (Timothée) and a singer (Aurélien). Clearly exposed to the hardcore / metal genre, they cross this basis with various influences, they push to extreme to render both technical and powerful. That was the case as early as 2006 with the debut 4-song demo and their 2007 EP 'Faces of Cruel Kids on Rotten Walls'. "It severely blasts, with your choice of shouts and growls. Guitars never stop shredding as mad as barrage fires which no one could resist from." (Indessence.net) The band try first to enlarge its audience locally, playing as often as possible with local bands and opening for international bands as well. 2009 marked the release of their first album 'My Own Haze', in which Anorak presents a brutal modern metal with tenacious rock reminiscences. Alternating concerts and composition process, Anorak back in 2011 with the album 'Sick', which confirms its mixed approach, both dense and complex, close to grindcore sound, but supported by sharp riffs and effective groove. Several tours in France and Europe allowed Anorak expose a powerful, chaotic and rock'n'roll set, in which the band delivers a raw energy. In 2013, with their third album 'Go Up In Smoke' Anorak develops its classical repertoire of ''grind'n'roll'', delivering another milestone in their career. Plusieurs tournées, en France et en Europe, ont permis à Anorak d'exposer un set puissant, chaotique et rock'n'roll, dans lequel le groupe délivre une énergie brute. En 2013, avec leur troisième album 'Go Up In Smoke', Anorak développe son répertoire classique de ''grind'n'roll'', déposant une nouvelle pierre à l'édifice. Les compositions du quatuor relèvent toujours de la même violence sonore, et laissent également apparaître des incursions mélodiques et des passages plus ambiancés, ce qui renforce et nuance la façon dont leur musique peut être extrême.
