Giancarlo Guerrero, conductor Edgar Meyer, double bass Debussy: Iberia Edgar Meyer: New work to be announced Bottesini: Concerto for Double Bass Ravel: Bolero Enjoy some of the best Spanish music ever composed for orchestra which, as it turns out, was written by French composers. Both Debussys Iberia and Ravels Bolero are bursting with invention and full of vivid effects. Guest soloist and composer Edgar Meyer is Nashvilles best known classical artist, celebrated for his artistry and wide-ranging musical collaborations. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Meyers first performance with the Nashville Symphony when he was sitting in the bass section. Meyers commission for this concert will be his first ever orchestral piece without a soloist. Meyer will also be featured as a soloist on Bottesinis Concerto for Double Bass.
