The Hangers apparaissent sur la scène émergente montréalaise en 2009 lorsque les médias encensent le combo local en le désignant « révélation » du festival Ska de Montréal. Fort de ce succès, le groupe lance son premier album Half The Fun devant une salle comble au Savoy du Métropolis. La jeunesse et la fraîcheur de la bande attire l’attention d’un vétéran de la scène ska, Mitch Girio qui tombe sous le charme de l’originalité et des rythmes entraînant du groupe et s’engage à réaliser leur deuxième album Get Your Ticket. The Hangers se démarquent des autres par leur façon unique d’incorporer différents styles musicaux tels le Rock, le Funk, le Ska et le Reggae. Leur côté festif déployé sur scène est contagieux, si bien que de plus en plus de gens désirent faire la fête avec The Hangers en concert. ************************************************************************************ The Hangers established their spot in the Montreal underground scene in 2009 when the medias raved up the hometown boys as “the revelation” of the first Montreal Ska festival. With building success, the band launches its debut album Half The Fun to a sold out crowd at Savoy du Metropolis. The young and refreshing combo caught the attention of Ska veteran Mitch Girio , who is charmed by the original and groovy tunes of The Hangers, signs on to produce their sophomore album Get Your Ticket. The Hangers stand out from the crowd by mixing a variety of styles, including Rock, Funk, Ska and Reggae.
