The birthplace of "Tipica Novel" starts in New York City in 1961. The founders Hector Zeno and Eddy Rodriguez never dreamed that the band would still be enticing dancers to the dance floor with their fiery charanga rhythms in 2016. At the height of the salsa revolution of the 60s and 70s in New York City and an through an evolution of great latino musicians, "Tipica Novel" was and still is in the forefront of the New York City Salsa Scene, with their tough, street style of performance. "Tipica Novel" always endeavors to bring great dance music to the public, in a tradition spanning 55 years. On December 16th at The Lincoln Center Atrium, you can witness for yourself why this renowned latin band is endeared in the hearts of "charanga" aficionados throughout the world.
