Jake Stokes & The Smoking Barrels have reloaded and are set to pull the trigger on their next tour throughout September 2016, on the back of Jake’s new EP, Before We’re All Dead.Praised as New Zealand’s answer to Joe Bonamassa (muzic.net.nz), Wellington’s own guitarist/singer Jake Stokes is an up and coming force to be reckoned with on the New Zealand blues rock scene. Jake blends old-school music sensibilities, youthful energy, and jaw-dropping chops to deliver a truly unique live experience to his audience.Before We’re All Dead, the new 5 track EP, is due for release on the 9th of September, coinciding with the start of the tour in Wellington before the band heads south. This will be Jake and the band’s first foray into the South Island, where they’ll be taking their guitar-driven blues rock to new audiences.
