Dom Flemons, Kaia Kater and, Jerron Blind Boy Paxton share the stage for one night only, spotlighting the African roots of the banjo and the impact the banjo continues to have in old-time, blues, bluegrass, and other music traditions. Dom Flemons pulls from traditions of old time folk music to create new sounds and was a founding member of the GRAMMY award winning Carolina Chocolate Drops, with Rhiannon Giddens and Justin Robinson. Named one of 10 New Country Artists You Need to Know by RollingStone, Kaia Kater , spent years learning and studying Appalachian music in West Virginia, and has been influenced by the Canadian folk music of her hometown. One of 20 musicians featured in the upcoming PBS documentary American Epic presented by T Bone Burnett, Robert Redford and Jack White, Jerron Blind Boy Paxton is a singer and multi instrumentalist who transforms traditional jazz, blues, folk, and, country and mesmerizes audiences with humor and storytelling. info at pinecone.org
