MODULATE SOUND SYSTEM live @ Slimelight 29th Birthday pre-event.PLEASE NOTE: This is an under 8's event. Adults must be accompanied by an under 8. Max two under 8's per adult. Since Slimelight opened in 1987 we have had parents who felt they were missing out on Saturday nights asking if we could open a creche. Its probably not the most practical thing we could do on a weekly basis but just to kick off our 29th Birthday party we are holding an under 8 year olds Mad Hatter spooky tea party disco on the ground floor from 4pm-7.30pm. Older children can come along too but the entertainment will be mostly geared for the younger tykes. Max two tykes per adult. No unaccompanied adults!Modulate sound system will be on stage playing a set plus a posse of Slime DJ's will be spinning tunes somewhat quieter than normal! There will be a free buggy park, a traditional Punch and Judy show and a dinky ball pool with minty fresh clean balls.Ticket price includes free admission to the 3 floor Slime Birthday later in the evening from 10pm featuring Monolith live if you are over 18If you are too old to go to the tea party and no youngster is prepared to bring you along you can just get an advance ticket for Slimelight that starts later from 10pm-7.30am Its the same price £4 members £7 guests.http://classic.fatsoma.com/what-is-on/#search=electrowerkz

Modulate Biography
Modulate is the hard industrial project of DJ Echo (Geoff Lee). Geoff is one of the resident DJ's at The Wendy House clubnight in Leeds, UK.
The band are signed to Metropolis Records for North America and Infacted for Europe/Rest of the World.
Modulate supported VNV Nation on the Judgement 2007 European Tour along with Imperative Reaction and Combichrist on the What the Fuck is Wrong with You tour across North America in summer 2007.
They are influenced musically by acts such as Soman, Combichrist, The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, KiEw, Grendel, Moonitor, XPQ-21, Monolith, Suicide Commando, Terrorfakt, xotox & Underworld with hints of old skool EBM such as Front 242, Nitzer Ebb etc.
The sound is mostly aimed at the dancefloor with a battery of aggressive beats, brutal synth lines and occasional samples/vocals, mixing industrial dance with elements of noise and techno.
