Programme around the spirit of Christmas

Natale, notte santa, nativity, day of peace, solidarity and sharing for human communities which are too often divided, torn apart and in the grip of doubt; human communities which are on the edge and brace themselves on the certainty that the “other”, their neighbour, the stranger is to blame of all evils, all their struggles.
Christmas, celebration of all the innocents and, in the first place, of children who have the salutary ingenuity to believe in the generosity of the good old man!
Christmas and its midnight mass, wood fires in our villages where a calm atmosphere prevails and where the community recognises a kid in each and every one of us.

The polyphonic ensemble A FILETTA is one of Corsica's leading singing groups. Founded in 1978, this formation, whose main objective was to participate in the preservation of the island's oral heritage, has largely opened up to the outside world whilst staying anchored in its homeland. The group is characterised by an inventiveness that is continually renewed and by exacting performances. The singers have absolutely no feeling of being the sentinels or guardians of some temple or sanctuary. Identity cannot be decreed, does not let itself be organised and does not project itself; it develops in the breath of men…
