THE CRAUFURD ARMS PRESENTS...........FRIDAY 4th NOVEMBERTHE MEN THAT WILL NOT BE BLAMED FOR NOTHINGANDREW O'NEILL£10 advDoors 7:30pm14+The Craufurd Arms,Wolverton,Milton Keynes,MK12 5LTFOLLOW US ON TWITTERtwitter.com/craufurdarmsmktwitter.com/#!/underpasspromo------------------------------------------The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing are Britain's biggest steampunk band, although they don't really know what that means anymore. They play anarchic punk with a Victorian twist, influenced by everything from the Ramones, Slayer and Napalm Death to Chas N Dave, Tom Waits and 19th century music hall. Their songs mix brutal riffs and punk fury with darkly humorous tales of a twisted Victorian past which all-too-often reflects the present. Theirs is a grimy, gas-lit world of gin-soaked chaos, where life was short and often brutal. They are loud, funny and very British. Comprising cancer-conquering ex-Creaming Jesus frontman Andy Heintz, cult-comedian guitarist Andrew O'Neill, comic and writer Marc Burrows on bass and former Lord of the New Church and Walter Lure sidekick Jez Miller on drums the band have had their most successful year to date, winning rave reviews for the their album Not Your Typical Victorians, receiving three Pure Rawk awards (best band, best album and best frontman), touring the UK and America, and playing a rapturously received Saturday set on Download's second stage."Thrashingly loud and coruscatingly funny" - The GuardianFiendishly entertaining a taste worth acquiring - TerrorizerProbably the maddest, most original punk band around - Louder Than War"Sweeney Todd on a Napalm Death binge" - Team RockOne of the best bands in Britain today, steampunk or otherwise- Pure Rawk
