This superstar percussionist plays a wide variety of instruments, some of which he created himself. Over the past few decades he has performed, toured, and recorded Grammy Award-winning albums with an enormous range of musicians, including the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, Yo-Yo Ma, Paul Simon, Phish, John Zorn, Milton Nascimento, Kathleen Battle, James Taylor, and dozens more. Baptista is also a renowned educator and the founder of acclaimed group Beat the Donkey.
