Wastin' Bullets Biography
What passes for "country" music these days is disappointing. Tired of today's "pop country" scene, Ken set out to put together a Honky Tonk band that plays real country, with a bit of an outlaw edge to it and try to bring a little bit of the Austin country music scene to Connecticut.
In 2010, Ken began his search for musicians with the same frame of mind and the band and finally began to plau the honky tonks and bars around CT as a 6 piece band in 2012 made up of Ken Desjardins on vocals, Fran Massucci on Guitar and vocals, Roland Labrie on Bass, Stephen Elliot on drums, Rob Turcotte on guitar and Trevor Reilly on pedal steel guitar.
In the summer 2014 the band welcomed Doug Graves on lead guitar & vocals, Phil Cone on Bass, Paul Mathews on guitar and Sam Gibson on pedal steel.
2016 was a slow year for the band as we began or search for some full time players. Fran & Doug where with us part time.
2017 brings a fresh start to the band with the addition of our two newest members Vic Gallagher on lead guitar and fiddle. Bill McCasland joins us on upright bass.
2018 Wastin' Bullets reloads the gun with Mike Capasso on lead guitar and vocals, Jay Blaze on guitar and vocals, Mike Speranza on Bass, Peter Graham on pedal steel guitar.
