Circle Of Reason Biography

‘One of the UK’s hottest new prospects’ - Stencil mag ‘The melody, the arrangements, the performances…everything here is perfect!!!’ - Heavy Paradise ‘Excellent alt-rock versatility and craftsmanship’ - Rock United Review ‘Catchy, engaging and memorable, it definitely ticks a lot of the right boxes and it makes for a very rewarding listen as a result’ - Soundscape ‘Instantly-gratifying songs that have that vital ingredient of longevity’ - Wonderbox Metal Circle Of Reason are a 4 piece progressive/alternative hard rock band hailing from South West England. Following their formation in late 2011, the band started making waves with their debut EP, A Favour For A Stranger in 2012 followed by These Hands And This Mind released in early 2014. The band draw upon a wide range of influences including the likes of Deftones, Muse, Biffy Clyro and Mastodon, but have ultimately created and developed a unique sound of their own. Heavy technical riffs are offset by powerfully delivered captivating vocals, with their writing style utilising emotive harmonies and atypical song structures that set them aside from many other bands. Their blend of rock and progressive metal is expertly put together featuring pounding drums, thumping bass, crunching and jerky guitar riffs and soaring choruses that compel the listener to join in. Their busy touring schedule and highly praised engaging live performances have propelled the band into sharing the stage with the likes of Neck Deep, Marmozets, Feed The Rhino, The Blackout, InMe, Mallory Knox, Charlie Simpson, Steak Number Eight, Arcane Roots, Baby Godzilla (Heck), Heart Of A Coward, Creeper, Press To Meco, Zoax, Devil Sold His Soul, Allusondrugs, The Temperance Movement, Landscapes, Fearless Vampire Killers, Zico Chain, Breed 77, Kerbdog, UB40, and many more. They have also performed at numerous festivals including X-Treme, Rock Diabetes, Kerrang Radio Summer Festival, Takedown festival, Keynsham festival, Gosport festival and Weyfest. Circle Of Reason continue to evolve into 2016 with their brand new release Faith Or Theory featuring 7 brand new hard hitting tracks. The band have received critical acclaim from and featured by national press, television, radio and online media by the likes of Kerrang, Scuzz, and Bass Player Magazine among other high profile outlets. It feels like Circle Of Reason have come of age amongst the promise of much more to come.
