Jordan bailey Biography
It would be wrong to call Jordan Bailey just another singer-songwriter when his music is a dynamic blend of acoustic alternative rock and heartbroken indie pop which often amplifies into arena anthems.
Hailing from Geelong with Queensland roots, Jordan Bailey’s ‘all or nothing’ approach to music is evident in his new EP Clear. Each of the five tracks have their own distinct characteristics which collectively come together to tell the tale of love and vulnerability. The EP opens with the escalating rock force Let’s Move Out. Too Late has a driving rhythm and features the lyrical gem ‘did you ever love me inconveniently?’ While Talk To Me is a soothing song of affection and longing. Footsteps changes the pace as a gentle saxophone echoes over Jordan’s hushed, raspy voice and the final track I Won’t Believe You leaves you with a solid impression of Jordan Bailey’s musicality.
Jordan uncovered his talent at age ten when he began to play the saxophone and by sixteen his musical ambitions emerged when he took to playing the guitar and writing lyrics, but it wasn’t until a year 12 music teacher suggested Jordan enter a talent competition that his professional career began. His first EP Breaking the Distance hints at Jordan’s potential with songs which are remarkably polished for a debut EP and full of profound references to love and loss.
On October the 23rd 2015 Jordan launched his second EP Clear which he followed with a regional tour and after relocating to Melbourne, Jordan plans to spend 2016 writing and recording his first album
