This edition of Songwriter Showcase at Natalie’s features Todd Burge, Dan Heidt & Rick Good.

Now in our fifth year, Songwriter Showcase presents the finest national and regional singer-songwriters. Our host, Eric Gnezda, is an award-winning songwriter and creator of the American Public Television series, Songs at the Center, which airs in more than 130 cities across America, and features many of the artists who appear on our stage. Due to the popularity of our Showcase, Natalie’s recommends purchasing tickets in advance to ensure table seating for the show.

TODD BURGE is “like a Randy Newman with a guitar” (Amos Perrine, No Depression). Employing wry humor, dexterous guitar work and drawing on a rich variety of life experiences, Todd is “West Virginia’s premier songwriter,” according to Mountain Stage host Larry Groce. He has performed everywhere from The Country Music Hall of Fame, to The Kennedy Center, to the most prestigious listening rooms in America. His 2015 album, Imitation Life, was produced by long term collaborator and two- time Grammy winner, Tim O’Brien. http://www.toddburge.com

DAN HEIDT found his roots in the acoustic fingerstyle storytellers of the 60s and 70s: John Denver, James Taylor, and other legends. Based in Ohio, he tours nationwide, from house concerts to festivals, and pre-show events at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus. He recently received the honor of being the first act to perform at one of Ohio’s new celebrated venues, the Appalachian Listening Room. His debut album, The View From Up Here, is available on iTunes, Amazon, and at performances. www.danheidt.com

RICK GOOD has been writing songs for nearly 50 years. A founding member of The Hotmud Family, a 24-year veteran of Rhythm in Shoes, and a 2010 Ohio Heritage Fellow, Rick is recognized and respected for his driving banjo, swinging guitar, heartfelt singing and crafty songwriting. With his wife and long-time collaborator, Sharon Leahy, he has made a life of creating critically acclaimed performance art, rooted in American traditions. Rick currently plays with four fine bands: The Elements, Good & Young, ShoeFly and the Red Clay Ramblers. www.leahygood.com

Host ERIC GNEZDA performs regularly at Nashville’s famous venue for songwriters, The Bluebird Café, and was awarded the Ohioana Citation for Music Composition. Eric’s latest CD is Songs of Hope in a Changing World. www.gnezda.com
