DownVega is a female fronted indie-pop trio based in Chicago Illinois. Producer;Jamie Wineman AKA Jimmy Con and vocalist Beccy Schneider had a chance encounter via craigslist while combing the internet for musicians in which to share a project. The two began writing in the late spring of 2015 and the results were unlike anything they had imagined, yet exactly what they wanted. Originally intending on recording strictly for an electronic project, Beccy and Jimmy began to visualize the power that a live genesis would bring to the city of Chicago and beyond. The final element was ironed into the composition when former Ghosthouse band-mate, Sam Lalk came into the fray with a desire to play bass. Sam brings the the most raw and funkiest of basslines. It is this component that serves as anchor for the bright layered synthesizer and weathered electronic elements that furnish as the ship captained by Beccy’s voluminous and commanding voice that many have compared to Whitney Houston or Lady Gaga. Together they navigate every omnipresent realm that music has to offer.The dynamic trio signed to Toronto's independent Marigold Label in November of 2015, releasing their debut single "Give You My Love" in February 2016. GYML can now be heard in all Banana Republic and Kit+Ace stores worldwide. Downvega released their follow up single; "White Zebra" in April of 2016 and is set to release their highly anticipated EP in the Fall of 2016. BECCY SAM JIMMY
