PENELOPE ISLES (Penelope Isles)

Penelope Isles are beachside, melodic pop/rock music from sunny Brighton, England. Brother and sister Jack and Lily Wolter, Becky Redford and Jack Sowton pack a dynamic kick with their live sound and capture their lucid dreaming, fuzz filled music with a DIY lo-fi approach. Originally from the Isle of Man, The Wolter's recent move to Brighton to share their music with the world is well on its way. The music will charm you as it ranges from Cacophonous to tranquil and back again. The band are currently booking/playing shows to promote their debut album 'Comfortably Swell' (released on their own DIY label Wavey Head) as well as making new music and recordings all the time.

PRINCE VASELINE (prince vaseline

Prince Vaseline are a four-piece psychedelic dream pop band from Brighton. Their sound is both motorik and far-reaching; not ones to stick to one specific format of songwriting but with undeniable pop sensibilities. Their live shows are a kaleidoscopic myriad of psychedelia and proto-punk: fuzz guitars and swirling Moog synthesiser pulsate underneath baritone vocals and tribal drums

MOUNT SINAI AND THE SUN BAND

The new musical project from Rooster Cole AKA Mark S. Aaron. Surf tinged tribal rock n roll.

LUTINE (Lutine)

Formed In 2013 in Brighton, Lutine (Heather Minor and Emma Morton) are already establishing themselves are a mesmerising live act, combining haunting vocal harmonies with minimal, delicate instrumentation on a mixture of original songs and traditional folk songs.

They translated their minimal, fragile and evocative sound onto record for the first time on their debut album 'White Flowers', released September 2014, from which tracks have been played by Lauren Laverne and Gideon Coe on BBC 6 Music. Their debut single 'Sallow Tree' featured on Lauren Laverne's music playlist, and they recently appeared live in session for BBC Introducing South.

fRoots Magazine: "Lutine sound like genuine originals. As English as the cricket on the village green or the dead hand revealed by the plough, this is music to listen to by candlelight, with no distraction"

Lauren Laverne BBC 6 Music "...something completely different now, this is the debut single from a Brighton band called Lutine. Apparently they have quite a big live following. And this gossamer-like sound is rather special when you see them live. So if you get the chance to experience that... do!"

forfolkssake.com "the songs sound completely lovely, underpinned by evocative, emotional melodies, like choirchildren singing in the woods. Exquisite is the word that keeps coming to mind"

folkradio.co.uk "they occupy the shifting, elemental space of their songs - a space that is sometimes airy, sometimes watery - in a way that is both effortlessly minimal and somehow whole. The result is a beautiful lucid dream of a record"

BLOOM (Bloom)

Bloom make alternative cosmic pop music using experiments with vocal harmony, samples, syncopation and synthesisers. The music is influenced by tiny wriggling things, giant galactic things, magic, nature and people. RIYL Dirty Projectors, Stealing Sheep, School of Seven Bells, alt-J.

What is Life - Is the first album from Bloom, funded by 120 Kickstarter backers. What is Life is released on 7th October and is available on CD, download, vinyl and limited edition orange/blue LP.

NATIVE RAY (Native Ray)

Native Ray is a new project featuring the talents of Brighton electro-psych outfit Hypnotized's Robin White and Patrick Tipler. Both have also recorded solo under Polymers and Sun Sparks respectively and Native Ray was originally conceived as a combination of the best of both projects. The first track released 'Talking Is A Pain,' and given their Hypnotized's love of obfuscating sound, it is remarkably hook-filled and upfront, with melody and simple structure reminiscent of recent Panda Bear outings. A full album is on the horizon in 2016.

JUNGFRAU (Jungfrau)

Haunting Alt-Indie Psych-Kraut, intuitive beats and hypnotic bass lines to weave a rich texture of sonic guitar licks around a web of soaring, swooning vocals, painting a dark aural dreamscape.

CHRYSALLISS (Chrysalliss)

An improvised blend of electronic beats and ambient/ distorted guitar. First EP shall be online in the new year.
