Face Value

Face Value are a four piece tribute to Genesis and Phil Collins performing all the hits (and more) in a stunning 2+ hours show with fully controlled light show and state of the art full range JBL sound system.
The band was originally conceived in 1999 when John (vocals), Will (guitar) and Tony (keyboards) got together for a couple of jam sessions and decided to have a go at covering Genesis and Phil Collins music. As a three piece band, we appeared at the 2001 and 2003 Genesis Fans' Conventions. And then in 2006,the band asked an old ex-pro friend of Tony's to consider joining on live drums. Wrex didn't need asking twice and now completes the line-up playing Roland’s amazing flagship TD20K V-drums.

Since Wrex joined, we have gone on to appear at the 2006 Genesis Convention at the London Astoria and also to headline the Saturday night at the 2007 Glasgow Convention. Over the last few years we have invested heavily in equipment and lights to recreate as faithfully as possible the performances of Genesis and Phil Collins live.

We didn't think Phil Collins, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford would ever get back together, but they have and seeing Genesis playing brilliantly live again in 2007 has given fresh impetus to what we do and subsequently we now perform no less than 18 of the 25 songs performed live by Genesis on the amazing Turn It On Again Tour.....incidentally using much of the same equipment (including the incredible Korg Oasys as used by Tony Banks) allowing Face Value to sound as close as possible to how Genesis do right here and now in 2007.

At the time of writing, Face Value have clocked up nearly 400 performances which makes us the hardest working and most successful Genesis/PC tribute band in Europe. And of course we have performed at the last four Genesis Fans' Conventions so we must be doing something right.
