Joshua Paige and American Red Biography

Blazing a trail from California to Tennessee with their hard rocking brand of modern country music, Josh Paige .222 is a band bonded in a powerful brotherhood. It is a persuasive artistry fueled by the vitality of real players with something authentic to say – and who have one hell of great time saying it. Hook-driven, memorable and concise, their songs reflect a rich emotional spectrum from rambunctious party anthems to evocative ballads. The band’s namesake, Josh Paige, is the primary songwriter. Raised on a Northern California horse ranch, camping, Motocross, fishing and shooting came naturally. “Everything in my heart is country,” he says. He acknowledges the West Coast legacy of Buck Owens, Merle Haggard and Dwight Yoakum. “Country that is a little more rock and roll,” he says. “I’m proud to be from California, but I have always wanted to be in Nashville. Southern values fit me.” But first he moved from the ranch into the heart of Hollywood -- certainly not the most common course for a rising country artist. Josh says that he prefers the singular path. “I heard one time that if you want to be successful in life, you have to walk on your hands. I don’t do what everybody else does.” Assembling a dedicated band was another departure. “I surrounded myself with my best friends and only work with people who feel like blood,” says Josh. He met drummer Andrew Adamany, in the halls of Hollywood’s famed Musicians Institute. “Our good Southern gentleman,” says Josh. “We call him ‘our lawyer’ because he functions on the logical side.” On bass is James Hochberger. “The fun, ambitious one in the group,” Josh explains. “A rock star and the life of the party.” Balancing out the quartet is guitarist and musical director Jeff Aulich. “Our brother, our peace maker and our calm guy who keeps us together in rehearsal,” Josh qualifies. Gigging relentlessly, the band honed a razor sharp edge, a crowd-pleasing chemistry and an instantly identifiable fashion style with black dress shirts and red ties. Their name pays homage to the 222 shows they played across the United States before heading to Nashville. “I have created a family, so no matter what happens I won’t end up alone. These are people who believe in me,” says Josh.” Josh hit the ground running when he moved to Tennessee. As a songwriter, he is now collaborating with a notable roster of hit makers. “I am on Music Row, writing everyday,” He says. “I feel so privileged being connected to these writers. The first day I was in a writing room, I could hear Carrie Underwood singing through the walls in the next room. I am so honored to be here.” Having performed on shows with artists like Zac Brown, Hunter Hayes, Gary Allen and Lee Brice, Josh Paige .222 is now balancing their rigorous national touring schedule with high profile gigs in Nashville, a new recording project, and Josh’s packed schedule of co-writing sessions. Edge, vitality and authenticity, with a solid community of fans, a road tested resolve and a shared loyalty to their collective musical truth, Josh Paige .222 has witnessed hundreds of towns in the rear view mirror. What lies ahead will certainly be the most auspicious of destinations. Josh Paige .222 is a Nashville based Country Pop/Rock Band including country performers Josh Paige, Andrew Adamany, James Hochberger and Jeff Aulich.
