the Hubbard Family Biography

For over 15 years, Jerry & Debbie Hubbard and their three daughters Emmylou, Lorianne, and Jeri have traveled throughout their home state of Texas, across the USA, and around the world lifting up the Name of Jesus with Christ-centered lyrics and a fresh sound that crosses several genres. This has led to many different descriptions of their sound through the years; they have been classified as everything from "Christian country" and "bluegrass gospel" to "indie gospel" and "gospel fusion". Each family member contributes vocally and instrumentally to the band which makes for an exciting live music experience. Much of their repertoire is comprised of heartfelt original songs inspired by the work God has done in their lives individually and as a family. The Bible says believers overcome by the blood of The Lamb and by the word of their testimony. The music of the Hubbard Family is deeply personal and testimony-driven. "We look at our music as an outlet to tell who we were, where we've been, and who we are now through the blood of Jesus. Most of all we want to tell you who Jesus is."   They have opened for such southern gospel favorites as The Pfeifers, The Palmetto State Quartet, and Gold City. The Hubbards have independently recorded and released six albums:Through God Alone, Living Proof, Good News TodayPilgrim Song, Lamb's Lullaby, and their newest release, Carry His Name. They had the honor of featuring guest artist Jim Fielder (original bassist of Blood, Sweat, & Tears) on "Fell" from the Pilgrim Song album. Additionally, "The Ragged Edge", a Hubbard Family original written by Emmylou, has also been recorded by award-winning southern gospel artist Miles Pike.   The Hubbard Family was deeply impacted and forever changed by a mission trip to The Philippine Island of Mindanao in 2009. They were part of a mission team that held evangelical crusades all over Mindanao. The Hubbard Family played in many local churches, village basketball courts, an orphanage, prison, and even a public high school where the gospel was preached to one thousand kids. Witnessing God at work healing, changing lives, and saving souls in Mindanao will always be one of the highlights of their music ministry. The amazing passion of Christian brothers and sisters in the third world continues to inspire the Hubbard Family.   Through the years the Hubbards have always been eager to play in support of ministries like the Salvation Army, The Hiway 80 Rescue Mission in Longview, TX, and many other excellent Christian charities and non-profits that share the love of Jesus in practical and tangible ways everyday. The generosity of many churches, families, and individuals is responsible for keeping the Hubbard Family on the road which has allowed the Hubbards to take their music ministry wherever God calls for many years and they continue to travel the gospel road today.  We're a family of five and a five-piece band and we sing, play, and write songs about Jesus. Our music is our testimony. www.hubbardfamilymusic.com
