AKAY

Akay is a German pop, r'n'b, hip hop and dance singer, MC, text author / composer, event organizer and owner / managing director of various media companies. In 2003, Akay won the third season of the Pro7 casting show "Popstars - Das Duell" with the group Overground. Overground became one of the most successful German boy bands. The band had several top 10 hits, brought two albums to the market and won three times Platinum as well as Gold awards. The band split in 2008. Akay then started his solo career and released his debut single "That's the Way” in May 2008. This song was the title song for the German movie "Urmel-Voll in Fahrt". The title follows the second single "Sexual Healing", a collaboration with the American rapper Rah Digga. Both songs are releases from the debut album "Comfort Zone". Already since 2004, Akay is hosting one of the most famous party series in Europe "SoulSuga". The events are often frequented by national and international artists, DJ's, MC's and live acts. Until today, Akay has organized more than 1,000 events in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Croatia, Dubai and Los Angeles. In 2016, Akay and DJ Mr. Da-Nos recorded the Zurich Street Parade anthem "Unique", which became # 1 of the Itunes Charts. At the beginning 2017 followed a Featuring with the German Hip Hop artist MC Bilal, whose album entered the Top 10 album charts. In addition to his solo career, Akay has also established the social media agency "Suga Agency". Since then he has been very successful in communicating various influencers for advertising campaigns for brands such as McDonalds, Universal, EA Sports, Snipes, and PlayStation and has done some influencer campaigns with stars like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Kevin Hart, and Ice Cube. Die Events werden von nationalen und internationalen Künstlern, DJ´s, MC´s und Live Acts vielfach frequentiert. Mittlerweile hat Akay mehr als 1.000 Veranstaltungen in Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz, Kroatien, Dubai und Los Angeles organisiert und veranstaltet. 2016 nahm Akay mit DJ Mr. Da-Nos die Züricher Street Parade Hymne "Unique" auf, welche zur #1 der Itunes Charts avancierte. 2017 folgte ein Featuring mit dem Hip Hop Künstler MC Bilal, dessen Album in die Top 10 Album Charts einstieg. Neben seiner Solokarriere baute Akay noch die Social Media Agentur "Suga Agency GmbH" auf und vermittelt seither sehr erfolgreich verschiedene Influencer für Werbekampagnen von Brands wie McDonalds, Universal, EA Sports, Snipes, PlayStation, Ferrero etc. und hat u.a. mit Stars wie Dwayne „The Rock“ Johnson, Kevin Hart und Ice Cube Influencer-Kampagnen gemacht.
