CHASING AMY is a female fronted high-energy rock cover band comprised of seasoned pros that are dedicated to throwing a party with great music, dancing and drinking. The band performs a cross section of hard driving Rock, Blues and Pop hits from the 60’s thru today and serves up a very eclectic set list. Whether it’s Classic rock, pop, disco or hard rock if it gets you moving we’ll kick it Chasing Amy style. Featuring the powerful and dynamic vocals of Melissa Rodriguez, the soaring lead guitar work and vocals of Bill Volling and the double-barreled blast of bassist Joliet Dave and drummer Paul Chamberlin, Chasing Amy performs well-executed high-energy versions of well known, yet not over played tunes chosen to get an audience off their seat and on their feet! Fronting the band is vocalist Angel Birr. Angel is an accomplished performer known for her powerful vocals and stage performance, Lisa draws from a diversity of musical influences including contemporary pop, R&B and rock. As a mainstay of the Chicagoland circuit for almost 40 years, guitarist/vocalist Bill Volling blends a classic rock sound but with a contemporary approach. Inspiration comes by the likes of Eric Johnson and Jimmy Page. A veteran of bands such as “Borderline” and “Jebs Clampett”, Bill delivers when the call goes out for either hot screaming solos or steamy melodic leads. Bassist “Joliet” Dave Rodriguez is a veteran of the local scene going back to the mid 1970’s as a member of “Guardian”, “The Bluz Boyz”, “Lickity Split” and “Wolfs Crossing”. Inspired by performers like Geezer Butler, John Entwhistle and Roger Glover, Dave’s high-energy bass lines coupled with a melodic approach keep the band pumping along on all eight cylinders. Keeping it all together is drummer Paul Chamberlin, a seasoned veteran of the local scene for over 40 years and a past member of “Slink Rand” and “Vintage Wood”. Paul’s rock steady tempo, pro attitude and dedication to keeping an audience entertained are major elements in Chasing Amy’s live show. Just a few words of warning to the faint of heart, “Chasing Amy” is more than ready to kick in the doors, roll up the floors and personally deliver a mob sized serving of “Kick Ass Female Fronted Rock”!
